We decided that the first day of the year - 1st of January 2015 would be a good day to let Daisy and her two foals out. We have never had a mare having to look after two foals so were not sure how it would go, Daisy had been in a stable for 6 weeks while Duet got strong enough so would she run off or would she stay with them and would she be aware of her second baby? She was a star mom, Quixote stayed at her side and Duet kept getting distracted and then would canter to catch up. They werent out for long and everyday we stretched their time out, now they go out with other mares and their foals and the twins stick together like glue - when a new mare comes near they run to Daisy who has a very big presence in the paddock and nobody messes with her babies....
