- The guys name was Art that wrote this song sold the copyright for 500 dollars and bought a set of wedding rings,but it didnot work out with the girl he was going to marry. He sold the set of rings to my dad and my dad gave my mom a new set of wedding rings every time one of us kids was born and I was born in 1959 and that set of rings was the set he gave my mother. My mom passed away and after her death and I inherited the rings and I still have them.
